Living dreams is a story about the struggles between good and bad, a story that explores the mind of man and gets deep into his thinking process. The central figure is Mahembe who is arrested for illegally occupying someones peace of land. His family, church priest, relatives and neighbours go through trial and tribulation to get his freedom. The issues are seen basically through the eyes of women, thus bringing out the gender aspect to land question. The story manages to bring out the other side of Zimbabwean land question. The story manages to bring out how the modern legal system can alienate itself from the common person.
